Pet Grooming and Washing Service Pre-Appointment Notice

 

Dear Pet Owner,

 

To safeguard the health and safety of your pet and to ensure that the grooming and washing process is carried out smoothly, please carefully read the following notice before making an appointment or bringing your pet to the store, and truthfully disclose any relevant information.

 

1. Obligation to Disclose Medical History

​

Owners are required to provide a complete medical history of their pet at the time of arrival, either verbally or in writing (such as by SMS). This includes, but is not limited to:

•Heart disease, cataracts, epilepsy, or respiratory conditions

•Allergies, skin diseases, or chronic illnesses

•Recent surgery or ongoing recoveryFailure to provide accurate information may result in unexpected incidents or complications during grooming, for which the owner will bear full responsibility.

 

2. Potential Risks

​

Pets may experience varying degrees of stress reactions during grooming. In severe cases, this may lead to non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema, cardiogenic pulmonary edema, cardiopulmonary arrest, or even death.

•For pets that are uncooperative or highly fearful, we do not recommend forced grooming.

•If the owner insists on proceeding, it will be deemed as voluntary acceptance of all associated risks, and our store shall be exempt from liability.

 

3. Special Health and Behavioural Conditions

Please inform us in advance if your pet has any of the following conditions. In such cases, we reserve the right to refuse service and charge a booking fee:

1. Incomplete vaccination – All pets must be within the protection period of vaccination, with the most recent vaccination administered at least one week prior.

2. Digestive issues – Pets with diarrhoea or soft stools within the past 3–5 days are not recommended for grooming.

3. Severe skin conditions – Inflammation, fungal infection, wounds, parasites, or allergies must first be assessed by a veterinarian.

4. Eye conditions – Pets with red or bloodshot eyes, discharge, or discomfort should be rescheduled.

5. Pregnancy or lactation – Female pets during this period are not recommended for grooming.

6. Post-surgery or recovery – Pets recovering from surgery should not undergo grooming to avoid delaying healing.

7. Infectious diseases – Pets diagnosed with infectious diseases must fully recover and obtain veterinary clearance before grooming.

8. Behavioural issues – Pets showing aggression, extreme anxiety, or fear are not suitable for grooming.

 

4. Guidelines for Pets of Different Ages

​

•Young pets: Recommended only after 8 weeks of age, with vaccinations completed for at least one week, and with normal diet and bowel habits.

•Adult pets: Must be in good health, with normal diet and bowel habits, and fully vaccinated.

•Senior pets: Pets with conditions such as heart disease, epilepsy, respiratory distress, or chronic illnesses are not recommended for grooming.

 

5. Grooming Products

​

•We recommend owners bring their own shampoo and towels to minimise allergic reactions or discomfort.

•Our store uses recognised, pet-safe shampoos available on the market（AU）. However, if a pet develops allergic or adverse reactions due to individual sensitivity, our store will not be held liable.

 

6. Disclaimer and Risk Acknowledgement

 

If the owner insists on proceeding without prior veterinary advice, the owner must clearly understand and agree that:

•Forced grooming may worsen existing conditions or cause adverse outcomes, including, in severe cases, death.

•The owner accepts full responsibility for any consequences and agrees to release our store (the service provider) from all liability, loss, injury, or claims arising from such situations.

 

By booking or presenting your pet for grooming, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the above terms.We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Our team will make every effort to provide a safe and comfortable grooming experience for your pet.
